Name: Injustice: Gods Among Us
Developer: NetherRealm Studios
Publisher: Warner Bros
-A bit costly
Injustice: Gods Among Us (I: GAU) is a fighting video game that is based on the imaginary universe of DC comics. It was developed by NetherRealm Studios and later published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment for the Xbox 360, Wii U, and PlayStation 3. It was released in late April 2013 in Europe, Australia, and North America and early June 2013 in Japan.
Later, an expanded mode of the video game, known as I: GAU Ultimate Edition, was developed and released in early November 2013 for Microsoft Windows, Wii U, PlayStation 3, 4, and Vita, and Xbox 360. A free-to-play smartphone app based on this game is also available for iOS and Android devices.
The twenty-four villains and heroes that comprise the game’s roster provide a wide variety and half the joy of using them comes from how powerful and unique they all feel. The other half comes from the sheer intensity of their attack – every gut punch and uppercut has a clear force to it and the pompous super attacks are the center of gamer-pleasing.
I: GAU looks amazing, thanks partly to the graphics that strike the perfect balance between cartoonish and realism color. The sound also plays a critical part in the effect of your attacks. Additionally, when the Flash (a character in the game) does the running punch with the ground’s circumference as the wind-up, the eye-popping visuals and crunchy sound effects will make you experience the force of the punch.
Graphics and Design
Every fighter or character is made unique by its Trait, a fighter-specific ability that can totally change its approach and even improve it. For instance Joker’s parrying attribute is a significant factor in using him properly, while another like Aquaman’s water shield reduces its probability of going on the attack.
All these Traits are activated by a simple press of a button – actually, simplicity is one of the game’s strong qualities when it comes to play and controls. The game employs the easy-to-understand setup of light, heavy attacks, and medium instead of the boring 2 punch, 2 kick setting of other games.
This video game was developed by NetherRealm Studios and then published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.
Positive and Negative Impression
The biggest positive of this game is the graphics and textures. They look really amazing, especially on PlayStation 4. The lines appear smoother and the fighter looks shinier. The other positive is the play which is easy.
On the negative side, the game is quite costly compared to other video games on the market today. However, it also comes with a free app for smart phones.
In a swap world, Superman has mistakenly murdered his wife and his unborn son and also destroyed metropolis with a bomb. When he discovered that Batman’s enemy, the Joker was the brain behind his mistake by dragging him into this mess, he kills the Joker and the story begins…
With this video game, the DC’s greatest villains and heroes have a fighting platform worthy of their nature. There might be a few shortcomings but the game is worth your time.
